Lake Hallie Lodging LLC – Hampton Inn & Suites was a new construction project when they first approached Focus on Energy about energy efficiency upgrades and incentives for the new hotel. The Energy Advisor met with the customer and general contractor during the planning stage and helped determine which prescriptive incentives were available for the new building. In some instances, choices on the building’s equipment were adjusted or changed in order to qualify for additional incentives. A meeting with an Energy Advisor early in the process allowed for energy efficiency changes to be worked into the plan.

The customer received incentives for lighting, heating and cooling, guest room energy management controls, commercial refrigerator/freezers, and water heating. The project was completed in early 2015 and the hotel will see an annual energy savings of 222,040 kWh and 2,713 therms.
