Pamela Ziegler has spent most of her life capturing special moments for the people of Prairie Du Sac. She’s been behind a camera since the age of seven and started her photography business while still in high school. Now, FOCUS ON ENERGY® is helping Ziegler Photography Studio capture something else too: energy efficiency and much-needed savings.
“This year, all of my business expenses increased beyond my control,” Ziegler says. “Having assistance from Focus on Energy has been such a relief, and it will sustain my business in the coming years.”
Ziegler Photography Studio specializes in corporate and sports photography. A longstanding staple of the Prairie Du Sac community, Ziegler moved her photography business downtown in 1993, and she photographs over 3,000 local athletes each year.
An energy assessment of the studio identified that upgrading the building’s 20-year-old heating and cooling systems at the same time would deliver better pricing and long-term performance.

Focus on Energy Trade Ally contractor BayBrookes Heating & Cooling replaced the existing furnace and air conditioner with high-efficiency systems to maintain ideal indoor temperatures. The new systems provide lower monthly bills, help prevent breakdowns during busy times, and improve comfort for staff and customers.
“Having Focus on Energy help my business upgrade to new HVAC equipment was a true benefit for my business,” says Ziegler.

Ziegler understands the value that helping small businesses brings to the community. She assists local businesses through her volunteer work on the Sauk Prairie Area Chamber of Commerce. She served on the Board of Directors for several years and is now a chamber ambassador.
“I enjoy working with my chamber to help new businesses in town, and I appreciate what Focus on Energy is doing to help other local businesses.”
Ziegler Photography Studio donates a percentage of its profits to youth sports teams, supporting their fundraising efforts throughout the year. With the new energy upgrades expected to save her studio $535 annually, Ziegler can continue to invest in her business and the community she serves.
“Everyone wins with this program,” she says. “This work helped address major expenses to help keep my business going, and I’m grateful to have been included in this effort!”
