MADISON – Erinn Monroe has been named Program Director of Wisconsin’s Focus on Energy program.

Monroe is employed by APTIM, which administers Focus on Energy, a statewide energy efficiency and renewable energy program for 108 Wisconsin electric and natural gas utilities, and the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin.
As Program Director Monroe will provide strategic guidance and oversight of the administration of Focus on Energy, which works with Wisconsin residents and businesses to install cost-effective energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. Its efforts have delivered $1 billion in economic impact since 2011.
Monroe assumed her new duties on February 1, she most recently served as Focus on Energy’s Director of Strategy and Innovation.
“With a strong background working across the energy sector, Erinn is uniquely qualified for this position,” said Tom Quasius, APTIM’s Managing Director for Focus on Energy. “Erinn began working with Focus on Energy 13 years ago as a program coordinator processing lighting rebate applications. She has since acquired significant experience in managing, designing, implementing and evaluating energy efficiency programs. Her depth of knowledge about Wisconsin’s Focus on Energy program makes her a great choice to lead its team of professionals.”
Monroe earned a Masters in International Public Affairs and a Master’s certificate in Energy Analysis and Policy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She earned a certificate in Integrated Strategic Management from George Washington University.
The Lake Mills native is a Certified Energy Manager and has work experience with Wisconsin Energy Conservation Corporation, Opinion Dynamics and Commonwealth Edison. She is a Wautoma High School graduate.
Monroe and her husband, Andy, have two children and live in Monona, where she serves on the Monona Public Library’s Board of Trustees.
