Focus Force Milwaukee

The pilot will educate and train individuals from disadvantaged communities for careers in the energy efficiency industry. The ultimate goal of the pilot is to to develop a roadmap which will be transferable and scalable for other organizations to create more career opportunities for disadvantaged communities and provide employers and Trade Allies with the highly skilled employees they need.

Focus Force Milwaukee (FFMKE) is a collaborative career development pilot program that values the contributions of both partner employers and program participants. This pilot offers a platform for direct engagement, diversity, and sustainability, emphasizing the importance of every stakeholder in shaping the future of the energy efficiency industry.

The program aims to develop a transferable and scalable roadmap that can serve as a model for other organizations and communities.

PILOT PARTICIPANTS

The pilot program offers career opportunities in the energy efficiency industry and provides participants with:

  • Soft skill training
  • Technical training in various fields
  • Job experience and coaching
  • Stipends and salary
  • Career placement

PILOT HOST EMPLOYERS

This pilot program provides employers with support to develop the future of their workforce. This pilot program offers employers the opportunity to invest in their business, develop talent, and secure their business.

This pilot is a collaboration between Silver Springs Neighborhood Center and Focus on Energy, as well as partners Milwaukee Area Technical College, Transfer Jobs Milwaukee, CLEAResult, Franklin Energy, and Johnson Controls.

Key Pilot objectives include:

  • Individuals securing job placement: 25.
  • Employers participating in job placement: 10.
