Course Description

The status quo for energy generation now includes renewables.

Renewable energy is growing due to lower prices, increasing concerns about the environment and government incentives. In this webinar, we will discuss major renewable energy sources, including solar thermal, solar photovoltaic, wind turbines and geothermal: how they work, their market penetration and their payback potential. We will also look at some of the promising new technologies in solar capture and energy storage as well as the coming trend of Virtual Power Plants driven by solar and battery implementation. Net metering, carbon footprint, and financial incentives will also be examined. We will also cover some not so commonly thought of energy efficiency benefits and even an introduction to Energy Star Portfolio Manager.
