In communities across Wisconsin, a dairy farm fine-tunes its operations to cut energy waste, a school district reinvests savings back into classrooms, and a manufacturer upgrades equipment to stay competitive.
They may look different, but they share one thing in common: smarter energy use that is delivering real, measurable results.
Today, FOCUS ON ENERGY® announced the 2026 Energy Efficiency Excellence Award winners, recognizing businesses, schools, farms, and Trade Allies that are turning smart energy investments into lower costs, stronger operations, and long-term impact.
“Energy efficiency does more than reduce energy usage and lower costs—it helps create jobs, drive economic growth, and strengthen communities statewide,” said Summer Strand, Chairperson of the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin. “The 2026 Energy Efficiency Excellence Award recipients exemplify these positive impacts, and I applaud their commitment to energy efficiency improvements that deliver far-reaching benefits across Wisconsin.”

Driving Results Across Wisconsin
Through partnerships with Focus on Energy and local utilities, these organizations are implementing projects that reduce energy use, improve operations, and deliver long-term savings.
Across Wisconsin, energy efficiency continues to deliver measurable results. Recent, independent evaluations show Focus on Energy generates $4.17 in benefits for every $1 invested, helping families and businesses lower energy bills while supporting job creation and economic growth.
“These winners are not just saving energy—they’re setting the standard for their industries and communities,” said Erin Soman, Focus on Energy Managing Director. “Their leadership shows what’s possible when innovation and energy efficiency come together.”
Local Impact, Statewide Momentum
From upgrading lighting and equipment to optimizing industrial processes and improving building performance, each award winner represents a success story in action. These efforts are helping Wisconsin move toward a more efficient, resilient, and sustainable energy future.
Focus on Energy will recognize winners throughout the year with local events highlighting their achievements and community impact. Their stories will be featured alongside past winners and other Focus on Energy Success Stories.
