With Instant Discounts from Focus on Energy, customers can skip the paperwork and receive a discount directly on their invoice. Customers must purchase qualifying HVAC, water heating, or commercial food service equipment directly from a participating distributor or dealer or through a contractor who works with a participating distributor or dealer.
Qualifying equipment must be installed at a site receiving electric and/or natural gas service from a Focus on Energy utility. Visit focusonenergy.com/utilities for a complete list of participating utilities.
Equipment must be included on one of our qualified product lists (QPLs) to qualify for an instant discount. We encourage customers to work with a contractor and/or participating distributor or dealer to make sure eligible equipment is being selected. Participating distributors and dealers can assist with helping to determine if equipment will be eligible for rebates.
Trade Allies will need to work with a distributor who participates in the Instant Discount program to ensure their customers are able to take advantage of instant discounts. Participating distributors will offer an instant discount on qualifying equipment at the time of sale, eliminating the need for a traditional paper or online application or the required supporting documentation, like invoices or specification sheets.
In cases where equipment is purchased in bulk, distributors can sell the eligible equipment to you at full price and provide a credit back as you sell the equipment to qualifying customers and collect required project details. You are expected to pass the discount along to your customers
