Retrocommissioning (RCx) Program Trade Allies (called Retrocommissioning Service Providers or RSPs) drive deep, lasting energy savings for owners and managers of existing buildings by taking a holistic approach to energy efficiency.
RSPs conduct opportunity assessments to identify the potential for energy savings, conduct efficiency audits to develop recommendations and energy savings/costs analyses, and connect customers with up to $400,000 in incentives per year. Incentives are provided after energy savings are implemented at a fixed rate per kWh and therm saved. If the customer chooses, in order to help with project cash-flow, 50% of the expected incentive can be provided after the audit is completed. This offering is not a payment for the audit but rather an up-front payment on the expected savings.
