Olivet Lutheran Church

Campbell, WI

Incentive: $3,663

Utility: Xcel Energy

Program: Business Incentive Program

Due to a growing church membership and desire to better fulfill its mission and ministry, Olivet Lutheran church recently completed a new addition to its existing facility. Having participated in the Focus on Energy program in the past, energy efficiency came into play when planning for its new addition.

An energy efficient boiler and LED lighting were approved for a Focus on Energy incentive of $3,633. Energy savings of 474,468 kilowatt-hours of electricity and 18,577 therms of natural gas will reduce energy costs over the life of the equipment- equivalent to not burning a combined total of 1,000 barrels of oil.

“As a church, we want to be good stewards of our resources" said church administrator Dorothy Payne. "By choosing energy efficient lighting and equipment, we not only help the environment, but we will reduce our energy costs going forward. Our Focus on Energy rep, Rob Sturgis, worked closely with our suppliers to get the information needed to apply for the incentives. The process was smooth from start to finish.”
