|    Overview   |    Explanation of Testing   |

Your home is a delicate balance of systems-human, mechanical and structural. A minor change in one will affect the others, with positive or negative results. You can control those systems. And Home Performance with ENERGY STAR can help.

Home Performance with ENERGY STAR provides
  • Quality assurance from an independent professional-it's like getting a second opinion right away
  • Peace-of-mind knowing you're taking care of your investment
  • Education and guidance in optimizing your home's performance
  • Professional evaluation, testing and written recommendations
  • A network of experts at your service, available to answer your questions
  • Access to Cash-Back Rewards to help offset the cost of eligible improvements
The process, step by step.
From the initial review to the final report, the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Program helps you protect your home-and your home improvement investment.
  • First, a discussion - A Home Performance with ENERGY STAR evaluation starts with a personal consultation. Meet with your consultant to provide information about the house, its operation and your concerns.
  • Next, inspect - Your consultant will identify opportunities to maximize comfort and safety while minimizing utility bills. The evaluation of your home begins with a number of tests to solve problems such as drafts, energy inefficiencies or safety concerns. The consultant will inspect the home's exterior and interior for indications of moisture problems. Also examine the mechanical systems for proper function. After each step, recommendations for solutions will be provided.
  • Finally, report - You will receive a report that could include customized, detailed information such as fact sheets, photos, infrared pictures and research information. It will propose solutions to any existing problems, and suggestions for preventing further problems from occurring.
